Get To Know Me

Hola, so I've been hiding the past few months, well I haven't but I just haven't put any time into my blog. I can make excuses as to why I haven't but the bottom line is IT'S BEEN FREAKING AGES!
Today since I was uber bored and practically dying away I thought I would get back into the swing of things and start my blog up even if I can't upload on YouTube yet however with any luck that should be starting again rather soon...fingers crossed.
Many of you who read this might know a few things about me but some of you might only know my name or what I have put out online beforehand so I thought it would be cool to do a Get To Know Me tag.
1. Is your hair naturally curly or straight?
My hair is naturally curly however when I was younger it was dead straight but over the years it has gained curls, but they aren't half a pain.
2. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?
I used to get my mum to dye my hair for a few years back in secondary school but I made bad hair colour choice and wanted to go back to my blonde, I used colourb4 to strip some of the dye out but I found that it gave me an eggy smell to my hair for weeks after using it even after vigorously washing it which was not cool at all. I then read online about baby shampoo, condinter and calcium tablets on removing hair dye so I used that mixture a few times but it was taking ages to lighten so in the end I headed to a salon and I've been there 3-4 times now and I absolutely love it there, thought I haven't been in at least a year....oops!
3. Do you wear the same style every day, or do you change it?
I keep my hair simple because I have limited skill set when it comes to making it beautiful. My go to's when I am doing errands or at work are a pony, messy bun or plait. However if I am at a gig or going out with friends I usually make more of an effort by straightening it or curling it.
4. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon?
I never get my nails done because I have the bad habit of biting them, I know it's disgusting but I do it when I am stressed/nervous/anxious, I have tried multiple times to grow them but failed.
5. How often do you change your nail polish?
If I am to wear nail polish which is very rare it is only for one day or so. As I said in the previous question I am a nail biter so they don't look so pretty. I have tried false nails a few times but I haven't been able to get the knack of them yet.
6. Do you polish your toes in the winter or just the summer?
I hate my feet, and never get them out unless I have to so they aren't painted.
7. How long does it take for you to put on makeup?
If I am just going to work it usually takes about 5 minutes if that. However if I am going someone important or have more time I will take a lot longer making it look a lot more polished and attempting liner so that would be about 30-40 minutes.
8. What do you do first? Face or eyes?
I do my base first so my foundation, concealer and so on. I rarely use eye shadow so my eyes usually consist of mascara and occasionally eyeliner.
9. Do you collect makeup or just buy what you need when you need it?
I wouldn't say I collect makeup as such nor do I buy it when I just need it, I am an impulse buyer and if I see something I think would look pretty on me I buy it. I own up to 30 lipsticks and only ever use about 6 of them because I buy before I think.
10. How often do you wear false eyelashes?
Not often, I've worn them twice before, I suck at doing them and don't see the point in wearing them if I am just nipping into town for a few hours, though I feel like I could probably wear them a lot more as I have stubby little eyelashes unlike my brother who was blessed with amazing lashes.
11. Do you do a full face of makeup every day?
I don't wear makeup everyday and on the days I do I usually just wear my "every day" look minus lipstick and eyeliner.
12. Do you wear makeup when you're home alone or with family?
Sometimes it really depends on what mood I am in; if I feel really down and ugly I will sit and do my makeup even if I am not doing anything. And I often find myself when I am bored at nights sat in my room trying out different makeup looks and regretting it instantly because I waste all my products.
13. Will you leave the house without makeup?
Yes and I often do, it doesn't really bother me not to have makeup on. When I travel to gigs I often go bare faced and do my makeup there because I can't deal with having to do it again once I've been on a sweaty coach for 5 hours or something ridiculous,
14. How many high-end products do you have?
I don't own any high-end products I would however like to invest in MAC foundation when I have the spare cash because it seems wonderful but I am more of a drug store brand gal, and there is no shame in that.
15. Do you plan your OOTD every night or decide when you're getting dressed?
When I am going out in a different city I decide what I am wearing as I have to take it in a suitcase with me but if I am just going out locally I just shove on whatever I have in my drawers at the time.
16. How often do you change your handbag?
I am really quite bad and never swap my bags over unless they are on their last legs or should I say straps (hilarious) so time wise I would say about every 2-3 months if that.
17. What time do you wake up and go to sleep?
I suck with sleeping, usually I sleep at 2/3am wake up at 8/9am then have a nap about 3pm.
18. How often or when do you workout?
I aim to work out but I usually do some zumba in front of the TV when I have spare time and go on walks with the dog. If I really put my mind to it I could probably work out every day....that's a lie.
19. Left handed or right handed?
Right handed.
20. How tall are you?
5'5"
21. Do you speak any foreign languages?
Nope, I studied French in primary school and took German at GCSE but I remember about 2 words of each and that's the common ones that everyone knows even those who haven't taken the language.
22. How many pets do you have?
One. A dog (I think he is a mongrel) and his name is Charlie.
23. How often are you on Blogger?
Hardly ever but I am keen to get back into the swing so I would say I will be on at least 5 times a week, reading blogs and updating mine.
24. Do you read comments posted on blogs?
Yes, I love to see what other people's opinions are and what they recommend.
25. Do you keep a list of products to try as you see other posts?
I wish I did as I see a lot of things I think I would love to try but I always end up forgetting, so maybe a plan is to make a note.
26. How did you come up with your blog name?
It's linked with my YouTube but not entirely the same title.
27. What kind of camera do you use for your photographs?
When I take pictures I use my Nikon Coolpix which I bought a few years ago when I took art.
28. How often do you clean your house?
I usually vacuum twice a week and general tidy about once a week, I however can't say the same for my bedroom, and it is a mess, though I am planning on cleaning it tomorrow when I get home.
29. What's your favourite colour?
Black.
30. Do you swear?
Often and I have to stop myself as it's getting really bad, argh!
31. What are you doing with the rest of your day?
Considering it is 11pm and I am in bed writing this I am probably going to watch some Youtube videos, finish a few more chapters in my book and maybe sleep.

Taking a break.

I know I have said I was going to stick to a routine and I was/did but I am taking a few weeks break as my laptop as broken so I can't upload any of the videos I have already filmed due to not being able to edit them. I hope in a few days I will be able to posted more blog posts.
Thank you for putting up with me being lame at this all.
Side note- I did film two videos with Kia which were hilarious and I am gutted I can't show you them.

Cute Room Ideas!

My room is a jumble sale of random bits and bobs that I just shove up or have on my drawers but I think if you separate all the things some of them are actually really cute that anyone can use to jazz up their room.

On my wall I have an uncompleted picture part (as you can see I only have 3 on so far) and uncompleted gig part as I have been to several more but haven't put them up yet.
The top half of the way consists of 4 pieces of my GCSE art work which I liked so I kept them.

Art work either made by yourself or bought from a shop adds colour to a dull wall, especially if like in my case you aren't allowed to paint the room, it just brightens it up. I am quite proud of my art work, even though I got a rubbish grade in the end.

Picture wise I don't have that many up as I haven't got round to printing any out, but I do intend to have a space filled at the side of the paintings full of my favourite pictures and memories. I have pictures of my deceased pets to remember them by, they aren't the best pictures but I still love them especially the one of Buster jumping in the air.
If you don't have space for photo frames around your room but still want pictures on display, print your favourite ones off, grab the blu tack and stick those bad boys up. To add some pajazz you could add fairy lights around the edge and on a night have them switched on.

Much like the picture idea, having gig tickets up and keepsakes from them is a really good way of you remembering things and they don't have the risk of being spoiled or ripped if they are on a wall. Again I said it is uncompleted and I still have my Room 94 ones to add and a few others from last year.

Moving on my drawers are mainly filled of presents from people which I adore and can't bear the thought of having them pushed away in a drawer, along with the presents there's a few bits and bats and a drumstick.

Here I have a photo frame Eunice made me with all my favourite pictures of us and Emma along with Sean from Room 94 and the other girls. I absolutely adore things like this and I will forever treasure it. In front there is a giant peg, I am one of those people who impulse buys and then is stuck with what to use the peg for, I have another one but I use that as I broke my mirror stand, with this one I was thinking I could add notes as in reminders for me to do that day/week. Next to the peg is THE HAPPINESS JAR which is quite simply the best gift I have ever received, I got it from the lovely Beth and Lottie for my 18th, inside are notes to cheer me up and boy oh boy they do. I can't throw the paper away after so I just put it back in and shake it so I get a different one.

Sophie made me this really cute picture frame from my birthday, she hand made the little stitching piece which I find adorable. It has one of my favourite memories on it, Soccer Six where I first met Sophie and where I spent a full day with a majority of my best friends.

This isn't part of my drawers, it belongs on my desk but I thought I would share it anyway, it includes my very first pictures with band members (cringe) and some of my favourite pictures from school, however I think it is time to update it as I have a lot more up to date better pictures with many of the people on here.
Not including the presents, it has been very cheap for me to decorate my room as I keep an eye out for a bargain, I am going to start plan an actual theme to my room.

THE TOUR LIFE!

The start of March was full of countless hours of travel, little sleep and a lot of fun! Why? You may rightly ask, to some the answer might seem crazy others it may seem normal. I basically went on 6 dates of the same gig over a span of a week and a half with my best friend Kia, meeting other best friends Kelsey, Helen, Rebecca and Sarah along the way!

The tour was none other than Room 94's Dirty Dancing, and I for one had a blast at every single date! I met so many of my internet friends, met new people, discovered new bands, laughed at Kieran's lame jokes (even though my jokes are far worse), stayed up way way too late, felt sad when Kelsey left us at Birmingham, cringed at my drunken antics, became heartbroken on the coach home from London when it finally hit me that tour was over. I regret nothing, not the stupidity of me, not the money I spent, not even the sneaking around and the little white lies I told my mother because without all that I wouldn't of gone to six amazing shows nor would I of had so much fun, the bottom line is each date was different and each date different friends were at so I got to meet all of my favourite people in the world whilst doing something I love.

The six cities that were blessed with my presence were the following: Nottingham, Newcastle, Sheffield, Manchester, Birmingham and London. I don't have a favourite city nor gig as they were all so good and I want to relive them again and again.

Out of the three support acts only Lost Dials were the ones I hadn't heard before, but I was pleasantly surprised with what they brought to the stage, they got the crowd pumped and sang two covers Ain't It Fun (Paramore) and Treasure (Bruno Mars) so even if people weren't familiar with their own music there was something for everyone to get involved with. By the end of tour I knew all their songs and officially been converted to a fan!
It was really nice to finally hear Robbie Coles perform, I have listened to his songs before and loved them and to my dismay I couldn't get to Leeds when he was supporting Dave Giles. He blew me away, such a talented guy and kudos to him for managing to get through his set whilst he was ill and as we all recently found out a broken rib (oops).
The final support act were Symmetry who supported back in 2014 so I knew what to expect from them and loved them even more this year, it was however a shame that they weren't there for the final two dates of the tour (for me) as they went to support McBusted-fannncccyy!

I have hundreds of pictures from tour but I shall only share a few on here, if you would like to see anymore make sure you let me know and I can always put them in an album on Facebook.
So without further ado here goes-

I really sucked at getting decent pictures of anyone on the stage therefore every picture is just of me!

GUESS WHO'S BACK?!

I have neglected my Youtube and blog a lot over the last few months, I am ashamed. But with that being said I have recently had the urge to re-start both of them and wipe the slate clean so hopefully this time around- which I think is 3rd time but hey 3rd time lucky right?- I can stick to an actual schedule and produce videos and posts that I am happy about.

My aim is to post videos at least once a week if not twice depending on the time I have to film and edit, videos will be uploaded on a Sunday and possibly during the week as well. With the blog I hope to write several posts a week ranging from life to beauty and everything else in between.
